State Board Action This Week
Join us this Thursday, Oct. 10, at 9:00 a.m. at the State Board of Education monthly meeting, when the Board will review proposed changes to the School Performance Frameworks. These changes would increase pressure on schools that serve the most at-risk populations; the Board is moving forward without engaging in a meaningful process to get feedback from stakeholders. The Board meets at 201 East Colfax Ave. (just down the street from CEA). A public comment session is scheduled from 10:00 – 10:30. Wear Red for Ed and stay as long as your schedule allows. Also, please encourage your membership to email the Board to avoid making any SPF changes that would adversely impact schools and students at all levels of the accountability system.
